Why you should be excited:

Pinova is a pretty apple from Germany with a distinctive floral flavour and lots of desirable qualities.

apple_pinova.jpgThe story of Pinova:

Also known as Pinata, Sonata and Corail, Pinova is an apple that engenders strong opinions.

Some are put off by its floral aroma and distinctive apple flavour. Others adore it, pointing to its parentage (Golden Delicious on one side and Clivia, child of Cox’s Orange Pippin and Duchess of Oldenburg on the other) and claiming that it’s got both the sweetness of Golden Delicious and the complexity of Cox Pippin.

It’s a fine apple in every other way, attractive, productive and long-lasting in storage, so we suggest you try this German-bred apple and judge for yourself.
