Miki Life

Why you should be excited:

Miki Life is a sweet and juicy variety from Japan, perfect for sweet freaks and to add bulk to cider.

apple_mikilife.jpgThe story of Miki Life:

If you pay attention to differing tastes in apples across the world, you will not be surprised -- at all ---  to learn that Miki Life is a sweet apple that comes from Japan. Its parents are two other Japanese varieties: Senshu and the super-sweet Tsugaru.

No, you won't be surprised to learn that there's little acid in Miki Life, nor that it's sweet and juicy enough to be considered by some to be a cider apple -- firmly in the 'sweet' category, to provide lots of juice and a fair bit of suagr to enhance alcohol content.

Other than cider, this is a variety you may be interested in for fresh-eating if you crave other sweet Japanese apples, like Fuji.
